owino market destroyed →
anyone who’s been to Kampala would remember (fondly or otherwise) the frenetic chaos of Owino Market. sadly, it burned to the ground yesterday. when hannah and I were living in Uganda, we got our curtains and bedspread at Owino and took every visitor for a tour.

ahhhhhhhhh, springtime and paternity leave
The Red Sox play their first games of the spring season tomorrow, opening with a 1:05 p.m. contest against Boston College at City of Palms Park and capping the day with a 7:05 p.m. game against the Twins, also at City of Palms.

huck slept from 10 to 12:30, and from 2:15 to 5 this morning. 5+ hours and we’re not even to sunrise yet!

next day edit: The above turned out to be an over-ambitious statement. Huck was up pretty much the rest of the night, settling into a long nap around 6 a.m. Mom and Dad are sort of exhausted today.
